Sanity prevails

Paris Hilton is sad.

You see, the idea of giving her a huge tax break died in the Senate today.

It does seem faintly ridiculous to give another tax break for billionaires at a time when the nation is drowning in red ink.

And make no mistake, the sob stories of derelict small businesses and farms are convenient lies; there is no record of a single farm, ever, anywhere, having been lost because of the estate tax. Rather, this proposal is the most brazen of the payoffs to the top 0.1% ever engineered by the right; and it has failed.
