The Gray Lady opines:
"As became clear from the rather large and diverse crowd here, the blogosphere has become for the left what talk radio has been for the right: a way of organizing and communicating to supporters. Blogging is nowhere near the force among Republicans as it is among Democrats, and talk radio is a much more effective tool for Republicans."
True enough; but that observation also illustrates another key difference between us in the American majority and the other side. Simply put, we're not too fond of being yelled at three hours a day by a fascist, thrice-married, drug-addled and repressedly-homosexual blowhard.
Nor are there many of us who would refer to themselves as "ditto-heads". There's another key difference between the two sides right there.
The liberal blogosphere has proven to be a godsend in many ways, not least because it empowers individual citizens to speak out, be heard and above all things, to be active. As the medium moves from infancy to power, and Free America rises against corrupt, dominionist Merka, when the book about the current American revolution is written, the blogosphere will be found to have played perhaps the most significant role.
This because this revolution is about the question of who should govern: the people, or the bloated, corrupt elite in its ivory Washington think tanks, gorged on special-interest dollars, that currently holds power. For them, you can't find a better symbol than talk radio.
