Adulterers defending marriage

So the extremist-ruled Senate is getting busy this week on a pressing national issue. No, not the price of gas, no, not the stagnant economy, no, not the health care crisis, no, not the Iraq crisis, no, not body armor for troops in Iraq, no, not restoring health care for veterans, no, not the illegal snooping into all of our phone records, no, not the fact that the Gulf Coast isn't ready for hurricane season, no. not even the next illegal war against Iran.
Rather, the big issues are protecting marriage from filthy homos and that equal-protection nonsense in the 14th Amendment, and, oh yes, flag-burning.
This is what happens when people hate your record; you need to appeal to the fringe and hope they forget how much they hate what you've actually done in government.
However, us
I think we'll find that these people should perhaps take a close look at their own marriages before getting up on that soap box; well, either that, or start dealing with stuff that actually matters. Like, say, their piss-poor record of governance.
