Dropping any pretense

CNN reports that Tony Snow - Faux "News" anchor and, um, "political analyst", is slated to replace Scottie McClellan as official White House spokespoodle.

So much for any pretense that Faux is anything other than the Television arm of the anti-democratic, pro-treason right wing noise machine. "Fair and balanced" my ass.

In addition, as Media Matters lays out here, here and here, Tony Snow's track record suggests, if anything, that the level of dishonesty at the White House will increase. And while it may pose interesting epistemiological problems to contemplate a rise in dishonesty in that den of criminals, child molesters and lunatics, yes, with Snow, it seems likely to happen.

Update: it seems Snow does not like to be called a 'toady-stenographer'.
