Jamie Raskin is a law professor at American University who was called to testify in the Maryland legislature on a proposed marriage amendment. You know the kind I mean.

Poor Senator Nancy Jacobs, you almost have to feel sorry for her, made the mistake of blurting out this priceless gem to Raskin:

Mr. Raskin, my Bible says marriage is only between a man and a woman. What do you have to say about that?

Well the good professor had a mouthful to say about that:

Senator, when you took your oath of office, you placed your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution. You didn't place your hand on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible.
